Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

    Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Set beneath Mount Meru, this vibrant town is Tanzania’s safari hub and a gateway to the northern circuit. After check-in, take time to relax or explore Arusha’s markets, cultural centers, or cafés. In the evening, meet your guide for a detailed briefing about your safari journey. Dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge or hotel.

  • Day 2: Arusha National Park – Return to Arusha

    After breakfast, set out for Arusha National Park, a beautiful gem often overlooked but packed with unique wildlife and scenery. Enjoy a game drive through lush montane forests, open grasslands, and the scenic Momella Lakes. Look out for giraffes, colobus monkeys, buffaloes, and flamingos. If time permits, take a short nature walk with an armed ranger to experience the bush more intimately. Return to your lodge in Arusha for a relaxing evening and dinner.

  • Day 3: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

    Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous baobab trees and large herds of elephants. On arrival, embark on a game drive across the diverse landscape, spotting lions, zebras, wildebeests, and birdlife along the Tarangire River. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park. Continue exploring until late afternoon before heading to your lodge inside or near the park. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful night in the wild.

  • Day 4: Tarangire – Karatu

    Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire to catch more wildlife action in the cooler hours. Later, exit the park and begin your journey toward Karatu, located in the lush Ngorongoro Highlands. On the way, you can visit local markets or a cultural center for optional activities. Arrive in Karatu by afternoon, check into your lodge, and relax. Enjoy dinner while taking in views of the highland landscape and coffee plantations.

  • Day 5: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

    After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600 meters to the crater floor for a game drive in this unique ecosystem. You’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five, including endangered black rhinos and large prides of lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and continue your journey to Serengeti National Park. Arrive by sunset, spotting wildlife along the way. Dinner and overnight in a tented camp or lodge.

  • Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

    Today is devoted to exploring the vast Serengeti, home to the Great Migration and abundant predators. Begin with a sunrise game drive to catch early-morning wildlife activity. Your guide will lead you across different regions of the park, increasing your chances of spotting cheetahs, elephants, hyenas, and more. Break for a picnic lunch, then continue your adventure until late afternoon. Return to camp for dinner under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African night.

  • Day 7: Serengeti – Return to Karatu

    Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti as you exit the park, soaking up last moments of wilderness. Travel back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional cultural stops, such as a Maasai village or craft market. Arrive in Karatu in the late afternoon for your last overnight stay. Relax at your lodge, share safari stories, and enjoy your farewell dinner in the cool highland air.

  • Day 8: Karatu – Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)

    After breakfast, begin your journey back to Arusha, passing through scenic landscapes and local towns. Depending on your departure schedule, enjoy a final lunch or optional shopping stop for souvenirs. Once in Arusha, your driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight, bringing your unforgettable 8-day safari adventure to a close.
